I love how durable and pretty my Wachiwi tote is. My girlfriend raved about hers and just had to get one. I’m so glad I did. I take my tote everywhere I go.

Our Story:

Every woman loves a beautiful, well-designed bag

Lena Adams-Winkel designed the Wachiwi line of bags initially to accommodate the needs of her daughter, a ballet student.  She wanted a beautiful tote with plenty of room and pockets to organize such things as pointe shoes, water bottles, a cellphone, and keys.

After much trial and error, with different materials and styles, Lena created the Wachiwi tote — the “Ultimate carryall where design and function meet perfection.”  The handbag is the finest and most complete of its kind on the market with such basics as vegetable tanned leather trim, long rolled leather handles that don’t pinch under the arm, compartments of various sizes, and two security measures that include a leather trimmed zipper and ironclad fold-over metal clasp.

“Wachiwi” is a word that comes from the Native American Sioux tribe, and it means “dancing girl or dancer.”  Everyone knows how much effort and care dancers put into their art, and Wachiwi has put just as much effort and care into the craft of making each handbag.

Wachiwi has improved upon the design and function of other accoutrements of personal life. Her journals, key valets, and home accessories take design to a new artistic level.  All of Wachiwi’s products are made in the USA by skilled artisans who take great pride in their work.
